The Early Hustle
A standout high school hockey player, Paul learned the power of resilience early on. A career-altering injury could have been an endpoint — but instead, it fuelled a new ambition that would define the next two decades. Starting in life insurance sales to his college professors more than 20 years ago, Paul graduated to accounting and tax, then evolved into broader financial consulting — driven by a single, uncompromising purpose.
At the age of 27, he followed his dream by founding Croft Enterprises, LLC in 2008 — during one of the worst economic times in United States history. Rather than wait for stability, he created it. The business was thriving in major cities across the country by 2017 — proof that the right foundation, built with intention, outlasts any storm.
"To succeed, he had to focus on creating lasting value — and so he did."
Building Across Industries.
While Croft Enterprises grew, Paul identified new opportunities across insurance, hospitality, AI, and creative solutions — building a portfolio of 8 ventures across 5 industries. Each company reflects the same core belief: that identifying the right market at the right time, and executing with discipline, creates value that lasts.
From pioneering Green Energy & Hydrogen innovation to creating immersive dining and nightlife experiences with Trino in Chicago's West Loop — Paul's vision has never been confined to a single lane. His work in AI and creative solutions through RARE Enterprises further cements his reputation as an entrepreneur who doesn't just follow trends, but anticipates them.
"The strategies and values that built Croft Enterprises are the same principles he brings to every client engagement and every new venture."
Faith, Family, & Balance.
Paul is a dedicated father, guided by Christian faith, whose values have shaped his business acumen as much as any boardroom strategy. His personal passions — from hockey to music to the stage — are not separate from his professional identity. They are the foundation of it.
As a former DJ, Paul developed a deep creativity, a feel for the room, and an unapologetic appreciation for the vibe. As a performer featured in a Broadway playbill — appearing in front of 6,000 people — he learned that the commitment required to learn every line, every mark, and every step is the same commitment that defines everything he builds. The discipline of the athlete. The artistry of the creator. The faith of someone who knows that clarity comes after fear, not before it.
"This is not just Paul's story — it's the blueprint for how you can begin writing your own Ascend Onward chapter."
